Earlier during Q1, 2017, World’s largest Internet Exchange Point DE-CIX has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mumbai IX ( Earlier Mumbai CH ). Lately, in October 2017, DE-CIX formed a Joint Venture with India’s largest Internet exchange point Mumbai IX.
After JV, Mumbai Convergence Hub ( Mumbai CH ) has now officially rebranded to Mumbai Internet Exchange ( Mumbai IX ) Powered by DE-CIX. With the rebranding, Mumbai IX aims to provide the best services with maximum availability of content. This will contribute to Indian Internet Ecosystem and bring a new revolution.
Mumbai Convergence Hub (Mumbai CH) Popularly known as MCH ( Now Mumbai IX ) founded on 15th August 2014 in Mumbai interconnects more than 82+ RS Peers which makes it India’s Largest Internet Exchange Point.
At Mumbai IX, we believe in making interconnection more affordable and streamlined and thus offer quality-oriented services that can assist our peering member to perform optimally.
With respect to JV, German Internet Exchange entered the second largest Internet market by connecting to almost 23 million inhabitants. Mumbai IX Powered by DE-CIX aims at replicating its success with DE-CIX.
